witlib — личная библиотека ссылок. Вы сохраняете страницу, сервис извлекает из неё текст статьи и делает короткую выжимку. Всё сохранённое видно только вам.
Какие данные собираются
- Учётная запись. Адрес почты и хеш пароля. При входе через Google — ещё идентификатор вашей учётной записи Google, адрес почты и отображаемое имя.
- Сохранённое. Адрес страницы, её заголовок, извлечённый текст статьи, сделанная выжимка, ваши теги и заметки.
- Токены устройств. Только в виде sha256. Открытое значение показывается один раз при выдаче и нигде не хранится.
- Журналы сервера. Обычные записи о запросах: адрес IP, User-Agent, путь, код ответа. Их ведёт хостинг.
Расширение для Chrome
Расширение отправляет разметку открытой вкладки и её адрес на тот сервер witlib, который вы сами указали в его настройках. Оно делает это только по вашему действию: нажатию на значок, пункту контекстного меню или сочетанию клавиш. Скрипты и стили из разметки вырезаются до отправки.
Адрес сервера и токен хранятся локально, в хранилище расширения на вашем компьютере. Автору расширения не отправляется ничего: ни содержимое страниц, ни адреса, ни статистика использования.
Разметка отправляется, а не только адрес, потому что расширение видит страницу уже отрисованной и открытой под вашей учётной записью — сервер сам такую страницу получить не смог бы.
Кому данные передаются
- Railway — хостинг приложения и базы данных.
- OpenRouter и через него поставщик языковой модели (сейчас Google) — им уходит извлечённый текст статьи, чтобы получить выжимку. Без этого выжимки не будет. Ваша почта, заметки и теги туда не идут.
- Google — только если вы входите через Google.
- Sentry — отчёты об ошибках: тип ошибки, стек вызовов и имя сайта, на котором она случилась. Полный адрес страницы, ваша почта, заметки и содержимое запросов туда не уходят.
Данные не продаются и не передаются никому другому. Рекламы, аналитики и слежения за поведением в сервисе нет.
Сколько данные хранятся
Пока вы их не удалите. Удалённая запись стирается из базы полностью, без корзины. Чтобы удалить учётную запись со всем содержимым, напишите по адресу ниже.

witlib is a personal link library. You save a page, the service extracts the article text and produces a short summary. Everything you save is visible only to you.
What is collected
- Account. Email address and a password hash. If you sign in with Google, also your Google account identifier, email address and display name.
- Saved items. Page address, page title, extracted article text, the generated summary, your tags and notes.
- Device tokens. Stored as sha256 only. The plain value is shown once when issued and is never stored.
- Server logs. Ordinary request records: IP address, User-Agent, path, response code, kept by the hosting provider.
The Chrome extension
The extension sends the markup of the open tab and its address to the witlib server that you configured in the extension options. It does so only on your action: clicking the icon, using the context menu item, or pressing the keyboard shortcut. Scripts and styles are stripped from the markup before sending.
The server address and the token are stored locally, in the extension storage on your machine. Nothing is sent to the extension author — not page content, not addresses, not usage statistics.
Markup is sent rather than just the address because the extension sees the page already rendered and opened under your own session — the server could not fetch such a page by itself.
Who the data is shared with
- Railway — application and database hosting.
- OpenRouter, and through it the language model provider (currently Google) — the extracted article text is sent there to produce the summary. Without this there is no summary. Your email, notes and tags are not sent.
- Google — only if you sign in with Google.
- Sentry — error reports: the error type, the stack trace and the name of the site the error happened on. The full page address, your email, your notes and request bodies are not sent there.
Data is not sold and is not shared with anyone else. There is no advertising, no analytics and no behavioural tracking in the service.
How long data is kept
Until you delete it. A deleted item is removed from the database entirely; there is no trash. To delete your account together with its contents, write to the address below.

The source code of both the service and the extension is public: github.com/Bravi-study/witlib. Everything stated above can be checked against it.
